Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced EH&S Engineer to lead and support the development of EHS programs, processes, and procedures, and to provide EHS training to engineers and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and oversee the commissioning and operation of a process and facility involving beryllium salts.
- Maintain the quality of the process and identify improvements.
- Work closely with EHS principles to ensure worker safety in and around beryllium work areas.
- Train technicians on analytical methods.
- Assist on the production floor as needed.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on EHS principles and procedures.
Required Qualifications:
- A degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, industrial hygiene, occupational safety or related discipline
- Expertise in analytical methods such as ICP-MS, SEM-EDX
- Ability to use and wear full body PPE, including a respirator (PAPR) and full-body cover suit
- Experience in working with environmental health and safety operations or management
